Meet the Coaches
Przemek started lifting at the age of 8.
As a junior he represented Poland and at the age of 15 won a silver medal in the highly competitive Polish Youth Championships.
After a break of 16 years Przemek took to the platform again in 2016 winning Silver in the Southern Masters and Bronze in 2017 at the British Masters. Przemek's main focus now, is coaching.
As a BWL Level 2 coach he has led athletes to Gold at the European Masters and Bronze at the Worlds.
Przemek is particularly interested in developing young athletes and growing a foundation of Junior lifters.
He is a straight speaking coach with a passion to help everyone improve.
Jo MacManus is a BWL Level 3 coach and was introduced to Olympic weightlifting from a background of CrossFit. Jo has been British Masters champion for three consecutive years, won Bronze in the World Masters Championship in 2018, Gold in the European Masters 2020, Gold in the World Masters 2021 and is a British record holder.
Roly Brading is a BWL Level 2 coach and was introduced to Olympic Weightlifting through CrossFit.
He competed in his first Olympic Weightlifting competition in January 2020 and by the end of the year was ranked 1st in the UK, 17th in the US and the Florida State Champion in the M40 89kg class. Having now switched his focus from CrossFit to Weightlifting, he is aiming for the European and World Masters Championships.
